Thank you for following the KHL with us on Christmas Day, to you all celebrating it, have a merry Christmas and stay with us for more KHL action live today. Until next time, goodbye. (18:20:30)

    Eurolivescores MVP:
Nikolai Prokhorkin (CSKA) – 1G, 1A, 2P – Nikolai maybe wasn't so much of a game-changer today as the whole team worked perferctly but playing on the same line with Alexander Radulov suits him, as Radulov is more of a distributer than scorer and Prokhorkin was magnificent today when he took control of the puck and handled it in the zone.

    Shots on goal: CSKA 11 (28), VIT 12 (30)
    Blocked shots: CSKA 0 (4), VIT 1 (3)
    Faceoffs: CSKA 11 (34), VIT 11 (27)
    Hits: CSKA 0 (6), VIT 3 (11)
    Penalties: CSKA 2 (6), VIT 0 (2)
    Powerplay: CSKA 0/1, VIT 0/3
    Ice leaders:
    CSKA – Georgy Misharin – 23:56
    VIT – Mathias Porseland – 20:55.

The game is over in Moscow, CSKA snapping a huge 5:2 win thanks to goals from the last period, and mistakes by Vityaz. Vityaz didn't show up for the final period of the game, allowing CSKA to take an easy win and new 3 points.

    60:00
    Game over.

    59:52
Ivan Nepryayev (CSKA) gets called for holding, CSKA will play shorthanded for these few seconds.

    59:28
CSKA still pressurizing Vityaz in these waning moments of the game, first a shot from the left deflected to the right, and on the bounce Lisutin puts another save.

    58:30
    Goal for Vityaz!
A consolidation goal for Vityaz as DINAR KHAFIZULLIN receives the pass from behind the goal line on the left and from the right edge of the slot beats Proskuryakov with a one-timer.

    Assists: Alexander Korolyuk, Dmitry Shitikov.

    58:00
The final two minutes of the period and most likely, the whole game.

    57:47
Gleb Klimenko with a backhand shot on the left, Proskuryakov first deflects and then throws himself on the ice to cover it.

    56:33
Igor Golovkov dumps the puck in but can't beat CSKA defence in the race for the puck but they claim it in the end on the left, though no shot later before CSKA were able to clear.

    56:09
CSKA again in the zone, Stanislav Yegorshev fires from the blue line on the right, Ivan Lisutin in place for a glove save.

    55:26
No luck on the offense for Vityaz, CSKA take over behind the net. Vityaz probably wish the time would pass as quick as possible to end this humiliation.

    54:57
Vyacheslav Solodukhin inside the slot with two defenceman on his back, turns and tries to surprise Proskuryakov, though the shot gets deflected into the protective net.

    54:18
CSKA still haven't given up, another opportunity 2-on-1, but the defenceman in the middle manages to get his stick on the pass from the left of the slot to the right, and stop another huge opportunity.

    53:58
This game is just about over as Vityaz need a miracle to come back, but judging by their play, it's impossible. Offside as they enter the zone.

    53:26
    Goal for CSKA!
Just as I finished about the last goal, they score another one. A Christmas present from the defence as they tried to pass the puck from one side to another without anticipating ROMAN LYUBIMOV in the middle, who intercepts it and alone with Lisutin beats him on sight.

    Unassisted.

    51:14
    Goal for CSKA!
This should do it! Fine effort by Nikolai Prokhorkin who takes the puck into the zone on the left, dekes out a defenceman in front and feeds into the slot for STANISLAV YEGORSHEV who makes a few deking moves despite being alone, to get Lisutin out of balance and lifts the puck over his arm to, most probably, seal the deal.

    Assist: Nikolai Prokhorkin.

    49:24
Alexander Korolyuk on the left drives to the post and feeds to the slot, but it's a bit too far to the back so no one was able to claim it, though it would almost certainly be a goal, as Proskuryakov couldn't have retrieved in time.

    48:32
CSKA in the driving seat and still attacking, now with their 1st line in the zone building on the offense.

    Alan Ilijic
