Neither of today's oppsitional teams – Vityaz and Spartak – is not doing particularly well in current KHL campaign so far. Spartak is sure on disappointing 10th place on Wesern Conference standings. Vityaz is even worse – they sit on 12th place of the same division. Five points only split the two neighbouring teams and some great devotion is expected on both sides. Vityaz already lost similar game on the road against CSKA two days ago (2:5) and will want to improve on that performance in front of their home fans. Spartak was even worse – they lost home game vs Metallurg Mg (1:6) and they have a lot to prove today.

Nothing significant happens at the beginning of the game , both teams stumble in passing and they can not get into the attacking zone.

The game calmed down and Vityaz is obviously surprised at the moment, and cannot get into offensive third.

Afinogenov found Mezírka in defense, but his shot ended up on the back cushion.

Afinogenov also tried with shorthanded breakaway and got into the attacking zone, but again failed to produce more .

Golovkov demonstrated great solo effort, but Glass was focused enough to defend his net. 

Domestic team is dominating at the moment and trying to respond, but they are not yet successfull.

Wandell was getting into a good shooting position, but Tatalin managed to block the blade shot at the last moment .

Afinogenov got in a good position to the left side of the ring, but he could not shoot on time and chance was wasted .

Lisutin was exposed to several shots by nowo , but any great hockey is yet to be seen.

Lisutin saves tricky situation in front of his net and Vityaz is still one goal behind only.

At the beginning of the second period both teams play very cautiously, no one  does not want to make a mistake.

Spartak at the moment is a bit more lively and pushes into the attack, although they can not keep an offensive for a long time.

Spartak performs bad in powerplay today . If they want to think about the potential points from this game they must improve on that aspect .
