		What an emotional game, as it always is when these two teams meet. The US seemed like the better team at the start, but Canada got better as it went on and was dominant early in the third. The US came with a big push late, got a goal and pressed hard for the equaliser but couldn't get it. Shots on goal in the 3rd period (and game): USA 7 (24), Canada 7 (26). Canada finishes 1st in the group, USA 2nd. Their quarterfinal opponents are still to be decided by the Switzerland-Finland game, which is in the 3rd period and you can follow it now on Eurolivescores.

		Shots on goal in the 1st period: USA 13, Canada 6. That was a physical period of hockey, especially at the start and the end. The Americans had a clear edge in play the first 9 minutes or so, but after that was pretty even. You can tell that neither team wants to make a costly mistake -- it's been pretty conservative. 2nd period begins at 18:25 CET, 12:25 EST.
		Canada won the draw and got a couple of shots in the last 5 seconds, but Gillies makes a couple of saves.
