		Ullstrom comes in with speed and puts a great backhand effort on goal but Garnett saves with the glove

		The second period saw both teams come to life. Traktor opened the scoring on the powerplay through a great piece of play which saw Jan Bulis one time the puck past Vehanen. 	39:49	Goal for Lev! The pressure was beginning to build and with 11 seconds left in the second period, Lev are level! Martin Sevc's point shot is expertly tipped by JIRI NOVOTNY who was left all alone in front of Garnett, and the Lev captain has brought his team level

	27:38	It's Sekac again who seems to be running the show for Lev at the moment. The young forward bursts into the zone with speed and fires a hammer of a slapshot, but Garnett makes a fantastic glove save to deny him.

	24:54	Goal for Traktor! They've stepped it up a notch this period and Traktor have the first goal of the game. It's a great passing play by Traktor, as Bondarev receives the pass from behind the goal, he one times it to the slot where JAN BULIS directs it past Vehanen.
	24:25	Traktor are looking to set up Bondarev at the point. The Russian defenceman gets one through with traffic in front but Vehanen saves with the glove.

		Well, definitely a slow burner so far in Chelyabinsk. It's 0-0 after the first period between Traktor and Lev. Both teams really struggled to do much of anything offensively. Juraj Mikus went closest to breaking the deadlock, but Garnett got down well to save his backhand effort

Mikus cuts in from the left of the zone and goes forehand-backhand but Garnett makes the save. Mikus has a few whacks at the loose puck and some pushing and shoving ensues. Vrana and Kondratyev handed penalties.

	12:12	The game is opening up now. Kontiola does well in the Lev zone to get a quick wrist shot away from the left hand circle, but Vehanen saves. Lev bring the puck the other way and Novotny fires on the rush. Garnett saves and holds on.
	11:12	The crowd roars at it looks like Kondratyev has a breakaway chance. It's blown up for an offside call though

	06:57	Great chance for Traktor. They cycle the puck well and have the Lev defence scrambling while on a long shift. Bulis gets the puck alone in front, he falls as he gets the shot away with Vehanen down and out, but it goes wide.
	06:34	Poor giveaway by Lev in their own zone. Kontiola has a brief opening but Gragnani and Jaakola recover to snuff out the Finnish forward.

		Last year's Gagarin Cup finalists Traktor have struggled to replicate the form they showed last year. They lost 7 of 9 games in December, being shut out four times in the process. They still have last year's top scorer in the playoffs, Petri Kontiola, as well as impressive Canadian goaltender Michael Garnett
		The big absence today for Traktor is superstar forward Evgeni Kuznetsov, who was missing from Russia's roster at the recent Channel One Cup.
