Metallurg have pulled off a massive shock here, beating an indifferent SKA 3-2 on home ice! Right from the off they looked more up for the fight and they probably just about deserve their victory. Artem Gareev gave them a first period lead before Artemiy Panarin equalised, but the hosts went ahead again through Egor Martinov. Maxim Chudinov evened up the scores but for the final time Metallurg went ahead after a powerplay goal from Curtis McLean.
