    Final word -
As we predicted prior to the game – great hockey was seen. Yes, there may be four goals only scored, but we saw plenty of high-speed skating, dangerous shots, great saves and everything else what's making this sport so fantastic. Metallurg Mg took the play on their sticks shortly after CSKA threatened at the beginning of opening period. They scored their goals at the right times during the game. Both teams were very disciplined and tried to prevent the opposition from having a chance to score on powerplay. CSKA failed to kill one out of two such situations and that proved to be crucial probably. Army Team wsa very dangerous in final 15 minutes, but it wsa already too late to catch up on well organized and well supported Metallurg team.

Two days after CSKA was denied against Traktor they will try to improve against another tough opposition – Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Home team sure wants to keep their net empty, as Traktor did, but Army Team has different plans. On the other hand, Metallurg scored six goals against Dinamo Riga two days ago and are obviously in good form. CSKA lost one place and are now 6th on Western Conference standings. "Magnytke" are third on the East and great hockey is expected.
