		In an absolute thriller the USA have taken it 3-2 after penalty shots! A shootout where T.J. Oshie scored an incredible four times, and despite the best efforts of Ilya Kovalchuk and Pavel Datsyuk he proved to be the difference. You will be hard pushed to see a better hockey game than that. 		T.J. Oshie with his sixth penalty shot, and he wins it!
		Ilya Kovalchuk now for the Russians, and Quick when laid on the ice denies him!
		Of course it's T.J. Oshie again, but he goes high and wide with the backhand!
		Pavel Datsyuk steps up for the third time, but he's denied by Quick!
		It's T.J. Oshie for the fourth time, and he scores, unbelievable it's 3-3!
		For Russia Ilya Kovalchuk goes again and he chips it into the right hand corner, 3-2!
		Again it's T.J. Oshie, and he goes five hole once again it's 2-2!
		It's now Pavel Datsyuk for Russia, and he squeezes it under Quick, 2-1!
		T.J. Oshie also goes again, makes the same move but with Bobrovskiy already beaten he misses the net!
		He himself goes again, but this time he misses the target!

		Joe Pavelski waits and floors Bobrovskiy, but he can't beat him!

		The USA got off to a flying start with a somewhat surprising 7-1 thrashing of Slovakia. Russia, the tournament hosts, also got three points in their curtain raiser but were made to work harder against Slovenia eventually winning 5-2.
