		Thank you for following the game with us! We have a lot of hockey action left to cover for you today with the other women's hockey quarterfinal between Switzerland and Russia and the men's hockey classic Russia vs USA! (11:18:01)
		With a very passionate performance in the third period the Swedes were able to throw higher-ranked Finland out of the medal hunt! After a Swedish double the Fins came back just 12 seconds later but in the end a blue line shot by Emma Eliasson and the following empty netter by Emma Nordin send Sweden into the semifinals which means that they will fight at least for a bronze medal! In the semifinals they will play against Team USA while Finland goes into the placement round for position 5 to 8 where they face Germany! Shots on goal: Finland 8 (31) – Sweden 13 (32)

	59:19	Goal for Team Sweden! With a huge effort Pernilla Winberg conquers the puck inside the own thrid and sends EMMA NORDIN with a long pass towards the Finnish blue line. 	45:09	Goal for Team Sweden! The Swedes keep the pressure high and suddenly they have turned around the game completely! LINA WESTER receives a brilliant pass by Pernilla Winberg from behind the net through two defenders and from within the slot Wester fires the puck past Raty for the 2-1! 	42:30	The Swedes are taking over controll of the game completely. Finland looks a bit shocked.
	40:46	Goal for Team Sweden! Late in the second period Venla Hovi had received a two minute penalty and so her team had to start with a woman less on the ice into the third period which is punished by the Swedes very fast! After a shot by Emma Nordin from within the slot Noora Raty allowed a rebound which came to ANNA BORGQVIST whose shot from close to the right circle went into the right bottom corner after being deflected by a defender who slided in between! Assisted by Emma Nordin!

		In an even middle period with several big scoring opportunities for each team, Finland was able to take the 1-0 lead through Venla Hovi who finished a rush with a rebound from short distance! 	39:48	After a mistake in the Swedish defense Susanna Tapani tried to fina team colleague in a better position instead of trying it herself – maybe the worst option.

	34:40	The Swedes have the huge opportunity to score the fast equalizer! First Erica Uden Johansson tried it from within the slot and then Cecilia Ostberg tried to battle the puck over the goal line from the goalie crease against several opponents!

Linda Valimaki receives a pass at the Swedish blue line and tries it from short distance, Valentina Wallner is not able to catch the puck and the rebound comes to VENLA HOVI who scores the 1-0 lead for Finland from short distance! 		In the first 20 minutes Finland was the more active team and they had more and slightly better chances. Only in the last 5 minutes of the period the Swedes were able to keep the game more open but despite best opportunities on both sides, we still have a 0-0. Shots on goal: Finland 12 – Sweden 6

	19:28	Johanna Olofsson waits at the right post of the Finnish net but after a rebound comes to her she isn't able to get the puck into the wide open net against the already beaten Noora Raty! In the counter just afterwards the Fins almost punished it but a shot from short distance was stopped by Valentina Wallner!

		The hot stage of the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi starts with the quarterfinal game between neighbours and archrivals Finland and Sweden. The Fins became 3rd group A where the higher ranked teams played who were automatically qualified for the quarterfinals – the two first of group A made it directly to the semifinals. They showed against the gold medal favourites USA (1-3) and Canada (0-3) that they are able to close the gap before defeating Switzerland (4-3 OT). Sweden became 2nd in the weaker group B and was allready qualified after two matches for the quarterfinals after beating Japan (1-0) and Germany (4-0). The last group match against hosts Russia (1-3) they lost though. There are no real favourites in this game. Let's see who makes it to the semifinals!
