That's it, and Sweden have moved on into the semifinals of the Olympic Games with a comfortable 5-0 victory over Slovenia! It was a brave effort from the Slovenians and they can be proud of making the quarterfinals, but Sweden were just too strong. Alexander Steen was the first to get on the board in the first period but they couldn't score again until the third period, where Daniel Sedin and Loui Eriksson found the net before Carl Hagelin grabbed a brace for himself. Thanks for following the game with us, and join me later for Finland against Russia at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi! (11:16:18)

    57:55
The Swedes really are a ruthless side and they are sailing through to the semi finals. They will face the winner of Finland-Russia, a game that will be played later today

Goal for Team Sweden! It's all becoming a bit too easy now! Erik Karlsson sees CARL HAGELIN lurking on the slot, he feeds him from the right hand boards and Hagelin flicks it into the net to make it 5-0! Assists- Erik Karlsson and Marcus Kruger

    53:45
It's another long hopeful pass towards Lundqvist's net but he isn't taking any chances, he wants that shutout

    52:33
Sweden have really run away with it in this period as the Slovenians tire and run out of belief. Lundqvist holds on to a hard shot on his net which came from even outside the zone

    51:27
Goal for Team Sweden! It's yet another excellent team move and this time it's finished off by CARL HAGELIN who receives the puck from behind the net and beats Kristan with ease, it's 4-0! Assists- Niklas Kronwall and Jimmie Ericsson

    51:07
And Slovenia are now back to full strength

    51:03
Erik Karlsson looks for a teammate on the left post with a cutting cross ice pas but no one is there

    49:55
Urbas! Shorthanded rush created all by himself and Urbas jinks inside and outside before firing into Lundqvist's chest!

    49:07
Mitja Robar for holding his opponent has been sent to the penalty box and the now deflated looking Slovenians have to defend on the penalty kill

    48:04
Goal for Team Sweden! A swift team move is finished off by LOUI ERIKSSON who sweeps the puck into the top right hand corner, it's 3-0! Assists- Nicklas Backstrom and Johnny Oduya

    47:13
Now though David Rodman makes a fantastic chance for himself! Darting in and around the opposing defenders he wrists the puck looking for the far post and Lundqvist denies him with the blocker!

    46:59
Sweden are taking the life out of the game, they're in the position which they wanted

    45:11
Sweden are once again back to full strength

    44:52
Jimmie Ericsson right off the faceoff draw gets away a sharp snapshot and Kristan crouches down and covers

    44:47
Icing from Slovenia. The Swedes are expertly killing this penalty, Slovenia just cannot get set up in the zone at all
