    Donbass have moved to within one game of the second round of the KHL playoffs with a emphatic 4-1 victory over Dinamo Riga away from home! The score is now 3-1 in the series and they can finish things off with a win next time out in Donetsk, Teemu Laine, Maxim Yakutseniya and Sergey Varlamov out the Ukrainians three up before Geints Meija got one back for the hosts, but Tuomas Kiiskinen put the icing on the cake for Donbass with an empty netter.     This is the fourth game of the series with the series score currently standing at 2-1 in Donbass's favour having won the first two games in Donetsk 5-2 and 3-1, but losing 7-3 in a crazy match yesterday.
     
    Dinamo finished in 5th place of the Western Conference and they were certainly one of the surprise packages of the season having failed to make the playoffs last year. Their opponents Donbass finished in 4th place of the same conference four points ahead of Dinamo and likewise had an excellent regular season.
     
    The playoffs are always something to behold, and this season's playoffs have not disappointed so far. With this being the fourth game of the series, it's sure to be a crucial encounter.
