Ufa send the puck deep into the Torpedo third and win this game!

A one-timer by the guests from close to the right circle is caught by Vasilevsky!

The Ufa defense manages to clear the situation and fire the puck down towards the Torpedo net but it goes wide.

One minute left to go and all players are waiting around the Ufa net!

It's a big fight in Ufa, a game on one goal. It's only a question of time until Torpedo pull out their goalie for an additional attacker!

Ufa are not making it out of their own zone all too often in these last minutes. They try to defend their small lead and to maybe get a counter opportunity.

After his team won a face off at the left circle in the Ufa third, Torpedo defender Pavel Valentenko tried it with a one-timer from close to the blue line but before the puck could fly into the left bottom corner it was caught by Vasilevsky once more.

Sergei Bernatsky tries it with a shot from the left circle which is caught by Vasilevsky who also avoids a rebound. Stellar performance by the Ufa goalie today!

Time is running out slowly but steadily for Torpedo. They have 9 minutes left to force overtime or even beat Ufa in regulation.

The guests try it from the left circle without any danger for the Ufa goal.

Vadim Krasnoslobodtsev tries it with a wrap-around but is denied by Vasilevsky. Torpedo are investing more in this game again.

Back hander by Torpedo forward Wojtek Wolski from just in front of the goalie crease after receiving a pass from behind the net – good reaction by Vasilevsky.

Igor Mirnov leaves the puck for Antti Pihlström close to the right circle but the Ufa forward fails to beat Kasutin from short distance!

Vadim Krasnoslobodtsev is attacked late but his shot from within the slot is not placed well and Vasilevsky makes an easy glove save. Torpedo look sharp so far.

The guests start aggressively into the third period. A distance shot by Sergei Bernatsky is no danger though for Vasilevsky.

Torpedo see their chance after cutting the deficit. Ufa have trouble in defense.

Vadim Krasnoslobotsev tries it with a cross-pass from the right circle with a very sharp angle and almost surprises Vasilevsky in the Ufa net!

A Torpedo defender avoids a break away for the home side int he last moment and so Ufa don't create more than a harmless shot from the left wing by Teemu Hartikainen.

Several players of each team fight for the puck in front of the Torpedo net but and land on the ground but the guest defense is able to clear the situation in time!

Double chance for Wojtek Wolski. He first tried it with a shot from within the slot after receiving a long pass and then he received the puck again when he skated towards the right post and Vasilevesky faield to stop a shot by another Torpedo forward.

2-on-1 attack for the home side but Alexei Kaigorodov fails to stop the puck after a cross-pass towards the left circle and the chance is gone...

Torpedo forward Alexei Potapov is pushed to the ground tiwce by Salavat's Alexander Mereskin after trying to get a rebound at the left post of the Salavat net after Vasilevesky failed to cover up the puck after a shot by Wolski from the right wing.

Torpedo are trying to find back into the game after the two power play goals they received in this period. So far without creating much danger...

Ufa are trying to use the momentum and force their opponents deep into their own third.

Sakari Salminen almost with the answer but his counter over the left wing ends behind the Ufa net when a defender steals the puck from his stick...

Sergei Zionvyev is stopped during the attempt to break through the guest defense on the right wing...

Evgeny Skachkov receives a long pass at the Ufa blue line and then tries it from the left circle but Vasilevsky doesn't even have to move to stop this scoring attempt.

Double chance for Torpedo forward Wojtek Wolski who first tried to score after a pass towards the right post of the Ufa net and then he receives his own rebound and is again stopped by Vasilevsky.

After receiving a long pass by Pavel Valentenko at the Ufa blue line, Vladimir Galuzin skated to the left circle and tried it with a powerful shot from there but he wasn't able to surprise Vasilevsky.

On the other side of the ice Ufa's Nikita Shchitov is checked into the boards behind the net after a hard check by Alexei Potapov – no penalty also here.

Torpedo's Vadim Khomitsky receives a hard check from behind just in front of the Torpedo net and his the ice afterwards with his face first but no penalty is given.

After high pressure by their opponents Torpedo manage to clear the situation and fire the puck deep into the Ufa third. Vasilevsky covers the puck up to avoid any danger.

Ufa defender Brent Sopel tries it from the right wing at height of the blue line but Kasutin easilly blocks the puck to the side with a pad save.

Vasilevsky covers the puck up after a shot by guest forward Roman Lyuduchin from the right wing. The game is becoming more intense and there are more scoring opportunities now.

Torpedo defender Sergei Bernatsky receives the puck close to the left circle and tries it with a shot from there towards the left bottom corner – the puck goes just white after Vasilevsky deflects it around the post!

Salavat appear with two players in front of the guest net. After Kasutin allows a rebound it is Igor Mirnov who twice tried to battle the puck over the line afterwards!

With a long solo Torpedo forward Vadim Krasnoslobodtsev tries to force his way through the Ufa defense but the last defender stops him just in front of the goalie crease...

The puck goes back and forth without any danger in front of the goals.

Long passes find no team mate on either end of the ice. Ufa and Torpedo are both very cautious.

The hosts become a bit more aggressive but a shot by Ivan Vishnevsky from the blue line is no danger for guest goalie Ivan Kasutin.

Ufa haven't yet recorded a shot on target. They have difficulties to even make it into the guest third.

Torpedo's Vladimir Galuzin is not attacked by the defense and he skates into the slot but his shot fromt here is not placed well enough and lands straight in the gloves of home goalie Andrei Vasilevsky.

It's a very slow start in Ufa. We already had three breaks in the first half minute.

It was expected that the Conference quarterfinal series between 2011 Gagarin Cup winners Salavat Yulayev Ufa (4th in the East) and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod (5th in the East) would be a close one but maybe not that it would be that close. After six games the series is tied 3-3 and we will see the end of the best-of-seven series this Tuesday afternoon!

The home advantage turned out to be not of any help for either team when first Torpedo won twice on the road and then Ufa tied the series in their two away games aswell. Only then Ufa won at home to turn around the series but in game #6 Torpedo fought back with a clear 6-2 win to send this series into the final game.
