    Metallurg pulled the goalie as they entered the Lev zone, but it didn't stay in the zone long and Novotny fed JUSTIN AZEVEDO, who fired it from centre ice into the empty net.

    Jiri Sekac led the rush into the zone, his initial shot was deflected to the corner, but he won the battle for the puck down low and got the pass out front to PETR VRANA, who backhanded it in the near side. Koshechkin got a piece of it with the glove, but couldn't keep it out.

    The power play started slowly but gradually were building pressure, finally MARTIN SEVC fired a one-time blast and, with Jiri Novotny doing his usual screen job in front, Koshechkin didn't see a thing. Power-play goal and the power play continues.
