    Norway had a great game last night against Sweden as they opened the scoring in the second period, but wouldn't hang onto it. The final score was 2-1 for Tre Kronor, but Norway still has five more points than the Slovaks.
     
    This is the first time these two are meeting since 2009 when they played a qualifying round game in Kloten, Switzerland. Ladislav Nagy would after all win it for the Slovaks in overtime, but both teams ended up going home after conclusion of the round.
     
    The Norwegians have two wins in two games as of this writing, but a tough game with the Swedes is just ahead of them. Prior to that, they managed to grab three points from each the game with Italy and the one with Denmark. So they have yet to face a big-time team and the Slovaks will be a tough test. Plus, there will be just about eighteen hours to recover from the Sweden game.
     
    Team Slovakia is currently riding a three-game losing streak and all the losses have been very bad for them. First, they lost in overtime to their archrivals from the Czech Republic, then they lost a good-looking affair with Team Canada in the third period and on Monday, Team France surprised by pulling off an unlikely victory.
     
    A critical game is ahead of both teams. Team Norway is looking to advance to the next round and will sure need to beat Slovakia to achieve that. The Slovaks, however, are struggling, and so it might not be such a hard task to accomplish. But, they will be looking to get started and the Norwegians are a good team to do that against.
