    Slovenia and Australia will play for the championship of Division II at the 2014 IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship. The winner will advance to play in Divsion I next year. Slovenia is looking to regain the position in Division I that they lost last year, while Australia is looking to return to Division I for the first time since 2002.

    These two teams met during the group stage, with the Slovenes winning the high-scoring affair 8-5. Slovenia finished first in Group C with 9 points, then beat Brazil 7-1 in the quarterfinals and Latvia 13-2 in the semifinals. Australia finished 3rd in Group C with 3 points, then beat Hungary 3-1 in the quarterfinals and Croatia 6-5 in a shootout in the semifinals.
