    Good afternoon and welcome to this Bashkortostan Cup match between the tournament hosts Salavat Yulaev Ufa and Metallurg Magnitogorsk. This may only be a pre-season tournament, but both sides will be wanting to flex their muscles.
     
    This tournament certainly has some of the KHL's biggest hitters on show, with SKA Saint Petersburg, Dinamo Riga, Atlant and of course Salavat Yulaev and Metallurg all taking part to get themselves warmed up for the season.

The referees just manage to break up a possible fight, but a 5+20 penalty has been handed out to Tim Brent for punching his opponent.     Chris Lee is first up for Metallurg, but cutting to the back hand he can't lift the puck over the goalkeeper's left pad!
     
    Now it's Teemu Hartikainen's turn, and he whips the puck into the right hand corner for 2-0!
     
    Vladimir Malenkikh for Metallurg strikes the puck very early, and it's easy for Vitaly Koval to stick wide
     
    Yegor Dubrovskiy cuts from the right to the left and once again beats the goalkeeper!
     
    Sergey Tereschenko does get Metallurg on the board in the shootout, as he fires the puck hard into the left hand corner for 3-1!
     
    Salavat along with their penalty shootout win have beaten Metallurg Magnitogorsk 2-0 in their second match of the pre-season tournament the Bashkortostan Cup!
