And that's all for tonight. Thank you for reading! (22:27:38)

What a game! Probably one of the biggest surprises this far in CHL. The party in Bolzano probably won't stop in a while. The Italians deserved this win, they wanted it more. Shots, total: 33-28 to Bolzano.

    60:00
    Game over.

    59:46
Bolzano fans sure deserve this. Amazing cheering all game long.

    59:20
    Goal for Bolzano!
Empty net!!! ZIGA PANCE scores with 40 seconds remaining. Miracle in Bolzano!

    58:40
Sixth skater on ice for TPS.

    57:00
Clear plot for the last 3 minutes: TPS trying to score, Bolzano trying to stop them from doing it.

    55:52
Not even Ryan Lasch can get the puck past Hubl, at least not yet.

    53:46
    Goal for Bolzano!
Bolzano takes the lead for the first time in CHL! What a powerful shot by MARCO INSAM! Nothing Lassila could do to stop that!

    52:52
Pance – Bernard – Gander have been very impressive for Bolzano tonight. TPS, meanwhile, has been mainly lazy for the last 50 minutes.

    52:52
Coast-to-coast at the moment. Quick, nervous chances for both teams but no real domination.

    51:13
Still no goals. Could this game even go to overtime? Well, that's still a long way away...

    45:55
The rare chances Bolzano get are dangerous, but Lassila has been good so far.

    43:58
TPS with chances in the offensive end. All five Bolzano players constantly doing their best to defend, but might not be enough against forwards like the ones TPS have.

    42:29
Lousy, lousy PP by TPS. No problems for Bolzano there.

    40:29
Egger takes a penalty. Not good for Bolzano!

    40:01
    Third period is underway!

    40:01
    Start of 3rd period.

Third period will start at 21:48 CET. It's going to be a great third period! Shots on goal in this game so far: Bolzano 20-16 TPS.

    40:00
    2nd period finished.

    39:48
The next goal will be huge, and everyone on ice knows it. Everyone starting to look a lot more focused.

    38:42
A bit over one minute remaining of second period. Both teams are playing ok, nothing special happening.

    35:50
Could be the Cramo Top Scorer jersey bringing pressure on him or just problems finding his new linemates, but Ryan Lasch has not played his best game tonight.

    34:15
TPS with lots of scoring chances lately.

    33:05
That situation started with Smolenak breaking away and Egger trying to stop him from scoring. The refs gave 'Smoli' a penalty shot but he couldn't put TPS ahead. Still 2-2.

    32:49
Smolenak with some nice moves but he fires over the goal.

    32:49
    No goal!

    32:49
    Penalty shot! Smolenak takes it!

    31:45
TPS have only one shot in this period so far. 12 minutes into this period...

    29:52
Lots of mistakes and lazy defending from both teams right now. Mid-game crisis?

    27:10
Bolzano's third goal very, very, very close...but Lassila makes a gamesaver. I don't know how he stopped that, but he did it.

    24:20
Bernard constantly looking for that third goal to complete his hattrick. No luck so far.

    23:43
Both teams are playing at full strength.

    22:58
Shots in this penalty so far: 5-0 to Bolzano.

    22:25
Some nice chances on PP for Bolzano, but Lassila shows that he is a top goalie. Lasch's penalty is over.

    21:50
Another tripping penalty for TPS, Simon Gysbers this time.

    20:05
Ryan Lasch of TPS, 2 minutes for tripping. Will Bolzano take the lead for the first time in CHL?

    20:01
    Second period underway!

    20:01
    Start of 2nd period.

It is worth noting that Bolzano are playing without Rick Schofield and Philip deSimone, who are both injured.

What a first period! It seemed like TPS was on their way to another easy win but Bolzano showed some impressive strength with that comeback. Can't wait for the second period to start!

Second period will start at 20:57 CET, approximately.

    20:00
    1st period finished.

    18:00
Seems like Bernard wants to wear the Cramo Top Scorer jersey from this on.
Bolxano scores their first goal in the CHL. The team has 70-80 fans singing chants constantly. The atmosphere is great, says TPS Turku official Twitter account.

    17:16
    Goal for Bolzano!
Another goal for ANTON BERNARD! TPS weren't defending too well and Bernard say thank you and scores a beautiful goal! 2-2!

    14:45
TPS haven't been as dominant in the second half of first period as they were in the first. Maybe Bolzano have regained some confidence after their goal.

    12:42
    Goal for Bolzano!
ANTON BERNARD scores the first ever Bolzano CHL goal! He tricks all of TPS defensemen and finally Lassila. Just what this game needed! Hannes Oberdorfer with the assist. 2-1, TPS lead.

    10:50
And TPS as a team get 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct.

    10:50
Oh, another penalty. 2 minutes for Bolzano's Mark Cullen.

    10:40
Simon Gysbers of TPS takes a penalty for tripping.

    09:48
Hannes Oberdorfer trips Ryan Lasch. Another penalty for Bolzano!

    09:02
Stefan Zisser takes the first penalty of this game.

    07:39
Just added Niklas Friman the assist for Smolenak's 2-0 goal.

    06:06
Not the start Bolzno wanted, but their fans don't seem to mind. Impressive support for their team.

    04:51
    Goal for Turku!
RADEK SMOLENAK breaks away and boy, does he know how to score from these situations. Friman gets the assist. Nothing Hubl can do to stop this. Assisted by: Niklas Friman.

    03:06
Lots of empty seats in Bolzano, but fans' chants can be heard quite nicely.

    01:23
    Goal for Turku!
With just over a minute of the game played, TPS take the lead! They 17-year old MIKKO RANTANEN scores following a nice pass from Smolenak. It's now 1-0 to TPS. Assisted by: Radek Smolenak.

    00:30
Bolzano, wearing all-red, haven't scored yet in CHL. Maybe tonight they will have their first goal?

    00:01
    Game just started!

    00:01
    Game started.

    Starting lineups:

HC Bolzano: Hübl (Hell) – Egger, Oberdorfer, Hofer, Crowley, Lee, Miglioranzi –Pance, Bernard, Gander –Insam, Cullen, Zanette– Zisser, Sisca, Frank –Widmann

TPS Turku: Lassila (Järvinen) – Nakladal, Nummelin, Lehtonen, Gysbers, Friman, Pulli, Karhu – Tukonen, Koskiranta, Lasch – Smolenak, Kumeliauskas, Rantanen – Sointu, Virtala, Lucenius – Kulmala, Lämsä, Pikkarainen – Salo.

Referees: D. Piechaczek (GER), S. Warschaw (AUT) – M. Johnstone (AUT), D. Nothegger (AUT).

TPS with some newly formed lines tonight. Radek Smolenak, who played very well with Ryan Lasch and Tero Koskiranta in the first two CHL games, is now playing with the Lithuanian Tadas Kumeliauskas 17-year-old Mikko Rantanen – who could be a top 10 pick in next summer's NHL draft.

Ten minutes away from the puck-drop! I haven't forgotten about the Bolzano lineup and I will present it as soon as I get my hands on it.
Pratice is over (Blacks won the penalty shootout).

The second CHL game between the home team Bolzano and visiting TPS in two weeks will most likely be a more even one than the first game was.

In that game, which was played in Turku, the home team won 9-0 after a strong second period where they scored six goals. Bolzano had only three lines in that game and the team had only practiced together for a few days. Now they are much more prepared and better-functioning as a team.

It would take a lot from the to be able to win TPS, though. The Turku team had a great start to CHL when they also won their second game agains Pardubice, and the team is filled with confidence now. All pressure is on them, and Bolzano should try to play as relaxed as possible as they have nothing to lose.

    Welcome. Game starts at 20:00.

    Vilja Paatalo
