    Final shots on goal: Nottingham Panthers 29 Hamburg Freezers 36. Kowalski made 35 saves for Nottingham. Sebastian Caron made 17 saves in his thirty minute spell, whilst Kotschnew conceded two goals on 11 shots.
     
    That's your lot at the National Ice Centre, and it's a massive victory for the Nottingham Panthers, who get British hockey's first victory in the Champions Hockey League. The pair of Nathan Robinson and Robert Lachowicz did the damage, whilst Craig Kowalski had an outstanding game for Nottingham. The Panthers leapfrog the Freezers into third place in Group K, with the return match in Hamburg being the final game in the round robin stage of the CHL.
