    The Finnish champion Kärpät looking to increase the lead on top of group A when the team hosts the Slovakian champion HC Kosice.

    Kärpät leads the group with eight points and 3-1 record. They felt short against Kölner Haie at the German team´s home ice.

    Kosice has won one CHL match so far. After three losses, the team opened the winning record against Liberec when the final score was 4-3 in favor of the Slovaks.
