Very even game so far. It seems like a middle-tier Finnish and Swedish teams are almost equally good!

Well, of course that happened just after I criticized Linköping. Less that 3 minutes remaining in this period.

Ohh, Linköping just almost got a lucky goal but Järvinen was lucky since the puck that fell from his glove did not go into goal.

TPS have been quite physical in this period: hits and also some nice blocks. Crowd likes it!

Some bad defending from Linköping, and Högberg should have saved that one too. Swedes now one down again.

Just announced that Jacob Micflikier got the second assist for Linköping's first goal.

Oh wow, Linköping brings the puck up to the offensive end quickly but they just don't manage to score.

Checking from behind was the reason for that penalty. Rantanen, who scored the first goal of this game, is now out of the game.

The penalty is almost over and there isn't too much going on here. A couple of shots for TPS, but the young Hogberg has been quite good (besides letting in that one goal).

Linköping had been the better team before this, but now TPS clearly got a huge boost to their confidence.

CHL returns to Turku after two early games in August, both of which TPS won. TPS faced one of the biggest upsets in CHL so far in September when they lost to HC Bolzano in Italy. They did bounce right back with an overtime win over Pardubice, though.

Visiting Linköping have had a smooth sail in CHL this far. They have won all four of their games and have gained 12 points out of 12 possible. They haven't had quite as perfect a start to SHL though as they are currently on 7th place. Canadian forward Jacob Micflikier has had a great season so far with five points in five games.

TPS are on place 9 in Liiga after five games and they have definitely had some problems with getting started for the season. Will the Swedes be able to steal points from Turku? Games between Finnish and Swedish teams have never lacked passion, and this one most certainly won't either as Linköping and TPS decide who's going to win their group.
