The game was tight until the third period, but that is where the hosts really came to life. Vadim Shipachyov, Andrey Kuteikin, Dmitriy Kalinin and Evgeniy Dadonov with a late hat trick all got on the scoreboard for SKA, whereas Vyacheslav Solodukhin grabbed Vityaz's consolation.
