Before the game some awards are given out. Martin Røymark (FBK) and Alexander Bonsaksen (VIF) for playing 50 official games for the Norwegian national team. Morten Ask (VIF) also rewarded, he has played 75 official games for Norway.

    Starting lineups:

Vålerenga Oslo: Soeberg (Jensen) – Hilt-Jorgensen, Bonsaksen, Braeck, Follestad-Johansen, Espeland, Csiszar, Lyngset – Knutsen, Gunnarson, Stene – Juell, Karterud, Ask – Broems, Olsen, Lindstrom – Salsten, Hoel, Olsen.

Färjestad Karlstad: Pogge (Pettersson-Wetzel) – Bystrom, Grundel, Jensen, Kylington, Lalonde, Gunnarsson, Niklasson – Aslund, Roymark, Hillding – Klepis, Gulas, Wallin – Persson, Hedman, Rohdin – Ejdsell, Asplund, Eriksson-Ek.

Referees: Nikolic (AUT), Halm (NOR) – Killan (NOR), Aasun (NOR).

Just to be clear. After all games ended last night, the resaults became a fact that also Färjestad is out of this seasons CHL. Even if they end up with three pionts to day, it will not be enough to be one of the best five twoers.

By the way, Färjestad is known in Norway as the Norwegian team in SHL, because their history of having Norwegian players. And that means that there is a lot of prestige for the team from Oslo in beating them. The last game in the group can only be expected to be good entertainment.

Vålerenga has so far not taken a single point in CHL. The first four games they played, against ZSC Lions Zurich and Vienna Capitals, Vålerenga played with only three lineups. The last game against Färjestad was the first game playing with a full team. The Norwegian team feels they disserves better than to end up with zero point, so they will not show any respect for their Swedish neighbors in their last game.

If Färjestad is going to be able to play any more games in this season’s Champions hockey league, they would have to take all three points against Vålerenga. Then they can only hope to be one of the five best teams to be second best in their groups. With that in mind, the Swedish team will go out on the ice at Jordal, ready to give all they got to for those points.

Hi. Welcome to today’s game between Vålerenga and Färjestad. This is the last game in group B. Vålerenga is still standing with zero points, but Färjestad still got a small chance to make trough to further play. Vienna Capitals won yesterday’s game against ZSC Lions Zurich, and ended up as the winner of group B.
