According to outline the CHL has laid out, the Draw will proceed accordingly:

    1. There will be a Draw board with two columns, A and B (one for each pot) and eight rows, one for each 1/8 final match-up.

    2. Teams will be drawn, starting with one from Pot A and then one from Pot B, alternating back and forth until all 16 teams have been drawn.

    3. Each team drawn will be placed in their appropriate column on the Draw board, starting at the top row and moving down. The only exception to this is a team cannot be in the same row as a team from their group. In case of a conflict, the second team drawn into this row will be moved down to the next free place in the column.

    4. At the end of the Draw, the match-ups for the 1/8 finals will be set (the teams paired beside each other in the rows) and the bracket for the entire playoffs will be established. (Winners of rows 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8 will match up in the quarter-finals, and the process will repeat for the semi-finals and final).
