Lukko has been very strong this season. There has been only three teams, who can say that they have beaten Lukko on regular time. And now we are talking about both leagues that they are taking part. Champions Hockey League and domestic league. Luleå won Lukko at Champions Hockey League group stage. SaiPa and TPS, who are also taking part on the competition, has won Lukko at finnish league.
TPS have had hard time on away games. In domestic league there has been almost two years since TPS has won at regular time their away game. Partly for this reason, TPS fired head coach Kai Suikkanen and he was replaced by Miika Elomo, who started this season as head coach of TPS U20 team.
This nights home team won the first part 5-1. It's very unlikely that TPS would win and advance on the quarter finals. Especially with their away history on last two years.
