Thank you for being with us tonight. Stay tune to this site for post game reaction and, of course, see you next week! (23:04:21)

That's it, all done in Gothenburg!

    Tonight's results
    Frolunda 4-2 Karpat
    Skellefta 2-2 Lulea

So, we'll do it all again next week when the teams meet for the reverse fixtures – and whoever wins on aggregate will advance to the CHL finals!

Goal! Oulu pulls one back, now just 4-2 down.

Oulu have had a couple of chances this period, but still trail by 3

Period three is underway in Gothenburg, 4-1 to the hosts.

That does us for period two, Frolunda leads by 4-1.

Anton Blidh scores it at 38:28

    Another goal for Frolunda!

No joy though, and Frolunda returns to five skaters.

A powerplay for Oulu gives the Finns a chance...

Elias Falth gets the goal, Frolunda leads 3-1.

It's a powerplay goal for Frolunda!

Players on the ice, rest of the teams on the benches, one from each team back in the box – we're ready to go again here in Gothenburg!

Teams back out, having a small "re-warm up"

That's what we wanted to see, the referees are back on the ice in Gothenburg! All we need now are the teams

Kristian Nakyva hit the goal with 1:04 remaining in the game.

And it it up they do, it's a goal for Lulea!

Czech defenceman Martin Sevc is in the box now for Skellefta – one last chance for Lulea to tie it?

What a penalty kill from Skelleftea!

Lulea has a 5-on-3 powerplay situation!

Latest update from the referee is that the Gothenburg game could restart in 20 minutes. They'd play the remaining 9 minutes of period two, then have an intermission, then come back for the final period.

Daniel Zaar has the chance to tie it for Lulea, but he's denied!

The Frolunda-Karpat game is expected to restart around 21:30.

Patrik Zackrisson has put Skelleftea 2-1 up now!

So long as the ice is playable, "We'll play" says one of the referees in a tv interview. That means we could be in for a late night at the Frölundaborg.

Whilst the teams prepare for period three in Skelleftea, they're still fixing the ice in Gothenburg.

End of period two in Skelleftea, scored level at one each.

That goal seems to have sparked Skelleftea into action!

Skelleftea have tied the game vs. Lulea thanks to Anton Lindholm!

So in Gothenburg the teams are being sent to the locker rooms whilst the ice is cleaned.

Skelleftea can't use their powerplay to tie the game, it stays 1-0 to Lulea

Ice problems have stopped the game in Gothenburg.

At 28:28, Robin Figren puts Frolunda 2-1 up!

Things getting a little heated in Gothenburg, penalties will be served.

The players take the ice for period two!

    End of the first period

    Frolunda 1-1 Karpat
    Skelleftea AIK 0-1 Lulea

Lucas Wallmark nearly made it 2-0 to Lulea, but after checking the video replay no goal was awarded.

Karpat have been under a lot of pressure recently, but are still holding the game at 1-1.

So after that hectic start, both games pass the 10 minute mark with no further goals.

We've also got an early goal in Skelleftea, but it's not good news for the home side – Lulea have gone ahead at 1:36 through Lars Bryggman.

What a start in Gothenburg – the hosts scored after 21s, and now Karpat Oulu has levelled the game already!

    We're underway

And there's been a goal already! Max Gortz has opened the scoring for Frölunda after 21s!

So with just five minutes to go, which game are you watching? Let us know on #chl!

Skelleftea and Lulea have met four times this season during SHL play, with Skelleftea winning three times, most recently by a 4-2 score at home last Thursday. Janne Pesonen and Adam Pettersson each scored twice and Patrik Zackrisson had 3 assists for the victors, while Lennart Petrell and Daniel Zaar each had 2 points for Lulea.

On facing Karpat Oulu, the only Finnish team left in the competition, Frolunda Gothenburg's Matthias Janmark said, "We’ve faced two Finnish teams so far in the playoffs and now we’ve got to eliminate the last one, so it’ll be fun to do that."

Mika Pyorala played two seasons with Frolunda Gothenburg, but today returns as a member of Karpat Oulu. On the upcoming semi-final series he said:

“It's going to be a big challenge for us. I think we need to play our best games of the season in order to proceed to the final. Frölunda is a great team, no doubt about that ... Winning is always the thing and that's also what we're aiming for in the CHL. This is a high-class league and I would value the championship as much as my other trophies. All championships mean a lot to me.”

From Lulea's side, 19-year-old forward Lucas Wallmark said, ""We're playing against Skelleftea and we know how they play. They're a good team and it's gonna be fun because it's a good derby. We're going for gold – that's the goal for us."

One semi-final is a northern Swedish derby between Skelleftea AIK and Lulea Hockey. Said Skelleftea forward Rob Schremp:

"Lulea is a hard-working team with really strong systems, so for us to have a chance we need to play a really good team game ... The fans of both teams are very passionate for their teams and with the way both Lulea and Skelleftea play neither team wants to back down so that has created a great hockey atmosphere for both the players and the fans."
