    There indeed is the final buzzer, and SKA Saint Petersburg have been made to work hard for a 4:2 victory over Severstal Cherepovets! They weren't at their best all the time, but went through the gears when they had to. Andrey Kuteikin, Viktor Tikhonov and Roman Cervenka with a double won the game for SKA, with Andreas Thurresson and Evgeniy Mons netting for the hosts.     Just last Sunday, SKA defeated Severstal 4:3 in overtime in Saint Petersburg in what was the first game against each other this campaign.
     
    Severstal are in the mix of a congested dog fight for a playoff berth, as they lay in 10th place of the Western Conference with 59 points. SKA, after a dodgy end to 2014, have begun the new year in fantastic fashion, winning all five games so far with only two of those victories not coming in normal time.
