		There is the final buzzer, and HC Sibir Novosibirsk have thumped Barys Astana 4:0 in Siberia! They were a level above their opponents today, and fully deserve their win. Dmitriy Monya, Sergey Shumakov and Alexey Kopeikin with a double struck for the victors, with goaltender Alexander Salak grabbing a shutout for himself. 	44:42	Dallman! Kevin Dallman is open by the right hand post, he's fed cleverly, and near post his one timer is denied by the goalkeeper! That was a real opportunity to hit the net!

	41:17	Roman Starchenko shows just how fast he can skate powering into Sibir's zone, and wrists not too far wide of Alexander Salak's right post! He doesn't want to see his shutout taken away from him!

	36:40	Bobrov! All of a sudden it's Sibir making all the running again! Viktor Bobrov winds up from the tip of the crease, and it's smashed into the netminder's left pad! Maybe he should have even done better!
	35:39	Patrik Hersley falls up against the boards on the left, still manages to dump into the crease, and Pavel Poluektov takes charge of the situation by catching
	34:55	Ignatovich! As the puck is trapped inside the away side's zone following that draw Maxim Ignatovich drives, and the goaltender energetically gets his body in the way!
	34:55	Alexey Kopeikin takes a bit of the pressure off his team here though, as lifting the puck into Barys' zone Pavel Poluektov has no other option than to freeze for a faceoff in his end
	33:41	As both sides come back to full strength Alexander Salak dives on a dangerous dump into the slot. Barys can feel a goal coming, as they keep the heat on deep inside Sibir's zone constantly!
	33:35	Starchenko! Roman Starchenko beats his markers for pace, fires with little warning, and he's unlucky to hit only the right boards behind the net!
	33:06	Icing is committed by Sibir. It has to be said that the hosts have really given Barys the initiative in the frame, as they look to protect their two goal lead!

	30:00	Konstantin Alekseev horribly coughs up the puck by his own net, the puck is squared to the far left post, and Nigel Dawes can't stretch long enough to touch it home! That was a golden chance to get back into the game!
	28:56	Barys are continuing to create more and more chances inside their opponent's zone! From the right boards the puck is squeezed in, and the goaltender beats everyone to it to take it in!
	27:48	Mike Lundin holds the play up at the blue line, sends it in with stick flying everywhere, and Alexander Salak is alert to cover it with his glove
	26:51	Stepan Sannikov twists around with the puck taunting Barys' defencemen, shoots from between the circles, and the goalkeeper nudges it away from his net with his right shoulder!
	24:55	Away goaltender Pavel Poluektov watches a dump fly in from distance, and he comfortably sweeps it up into his glove. He has certainly been more reliable than his Slovakian counterpart Jan Laco after replacing him early on!
	24:18	Dawes! Barys forward Nigel Dawes opens up his left arm from a defence position on the left, and at the second attempt Alexander Salak covers to kill the increasing danger!
	23:46	At the other end Sibir forward Maxim Shalunov sprints past the blue line, and whacks his wrister wide of the left post! Attack is the best form of defence for these two teams!
	22:12	Alexander Salak now gently pushes out a tall wrister around blocker side. He has been flawless so far, making some wonderful saves from several positions!
	21:44	Savchenko! The puck pops out to Roman Starchenko at the point, and his thumping slapped effort is stoned by Alexander Salak's five hole! That was hit with some force!
	20:19	As we get going in the second frame it's a five on five hockey game again. These two don't like each other at all, and more rough hockey should be coming our way!

	19:51	The end of a fiery first period is now coming up, with this shaping up to be a pulsating encounter between two physical teams!
	19:08	Lundin! Mike Lundin has space at the point, slaps as hard as he can, and sitting on his backside Alexander Salak makes a fantastic glove save to shut him down! That was highlight reel stuff!
	18:46	The penalties really are coming thick and fast! The next to be punished is Brandon Bochenski of Barys, and we won't be seeing him again as for unsportsmanlike behaviour he has been smashed with a 2+10+20 penalty! He is absolutely furious about that!
	18:11	The Kazakhs work the puck patiently to a tight angle on the left, and near post Alexander Salak sees it clearly as to catch
	17:57	That has very promptly turned into a Barys five on three, this is an ideal opportunity for Barys to get back into things! Stepan Sannikov has been called for interference, and in doing so putting his team into a sticky situation!
	17:26	However Sibir's Vitaliy Menshikov has been penalised with a four minute penalty for roughing, and it's a second powerplay in a row for the visitors!
	17:26	We have a huge fight on our hands! Konstantin Alekseev and Vitaliy Menshinkov of the hosts take on Barys' Roman Starchenko and Konstantin Rudenko, and as the gloves are dropped the referees break it all up!
	17:22	Monya! Dmitriy Monya is all alone on the doorstep, he's dished with an intelligent feed from the left, and he can only tap directly into Pavel Poluektov's chest!
	16:55	And surviving that particular scare Sibir are back at full strength. The pace won't let up at all inside the Sibir Ice Palace, no one is willing to take the heat down!
	16:40	Alexander Salak makes a couple of huge saves at point blank range! Almost on the goal line, and then glove side the Sibir goalkeeper bails his team out quite beautifully!
	14:55	Voroshilo! Shorthanded it could have been three for Sibir! Artyom Voroshilo shields the puck brilliantly with the backhand, and misses the crossbar by only inches! The goaltender would have struggled!

	13:45	Ignatovich! The play is set back to the blue line, Maxim Ignatovich slaps with force, and Pavel Poluektov makes his first save freezing!
	12:58	Swedish defender Patrik Hersley sees space open up in front of him at the high slot, he wrists, and covering markers get back in time as to block it!
	11:02	And that is Jan Laco's day done, as he has been pulled for Pavel Poluektov! Their head coach Andrey Nazarov had to do something as Barys are under siege!

	08:55	Extended build up play eventually ends with Renat Mamashev slapping in, and a telling Barys stick tips it up and over. The visitors are under serious pressure, and are doing well as to not go completely under!

		Sibir have been the surprise package of this KHL campaign, as despite losing nearly all of their best players they have taken the league by storm, currently in second of the Eastern Conference with 105 points. Their Kazakh opponents Barys have been hit and miss, and have only 78 points in seventh of the same conference.
