SKA Saint Petersburg have taken game one of this KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs second round series with a dramatic 3:2 overtime win over HC Dynamo Moscow! They wanted it more, and pressed seriously hard. Evgeniy Ketov, Patrick Thoresen and Artemiy Panarin struck for the victors, with Mat Robinson and Alexey Tsvetkov replying for Dynamo. Thanks for following the game with us, and see you again soon for more pulsating KHL action! (20:18:20)

    Game over.

    60:49
    Goal for SKA!
The winning goal didn't take long to come, it's SKA's day! ARTEMIY PANARIN picks up the loose puck on the doorstep, and beats Alexander Lazushin five hole! It's 3:2! Assists- Roman Cervenka

    60:31
Sudden death overtime has begun! Remember that in the KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs there are no penalty shots, and we will play on until the first goal however long that may take!

    60:01
    Overtime began.

Statistics after the initial 60 minutes:

    Shots: 54-47
    Shots on target: 24-24
    Faceoffs: 28-22
    Hits: 34-13
    Penalty minutes: 6-8

    60:00
    3rd period finished.

    59:51
Already the last few seconds are here, and it does seem as though overtime is coming up! What drama in Saint Petersburg!

    56:52
As soon as I said that SKA almost took the lead! Ilya Kablukov powers clean through, cuts blocker side, and contrives to wrist wide of the left hand post! What a chance for the hosts!

    56:18
It must be said that there are practically no goalscoring opportunities for either side at the moment, both are really solid in defence and not giving each other an inch

    53:15
The hosts failed to get set up in Dynamo's zone for a prolonged amount of time though, and the visitors are back at full strength again

    51:15
And indeed for tripping during that play, Dynamo forward Maxim Karpov has handed SKA a very useful powerplay

    51:15
Koskinen! That's a massive save! Despite being trampled upon Mikko Koskinen beats away a fearsome slapper! How did he see that one!

    50:24
Maxim Chudinov's two minutes are up, and SKA will be very relieved about that! They can't afford to take any more of such penalties!

    50:11
Dynamo wrist the puck in from the blue line, it bounces wide of Mikko Koskinen's glove, and as it threatens to create trouble he covers it up solidly

    48:24
As Mikko Koskinen takes in a weak wrister blocker side SKA have picked up a pointless penalty, as for cross checking defenceman Maxim Chudinov has been handed a two minute minor

    47:37
The game is becoming more closed again now as time rolls on, both sides understand just how important any slip could be

    44:33
Kalinin! He knows what a great chance that was to put SKA ahead for the first time today! All open at the high slot Dmitriy Kalinin can only wrist into Alexander Lazushin's glove! He had the goal at his mercy!

    42:02
The puck comes flying in from the point, and Alexander Lazushin sensibly covers it up with his glove. He has been suspect at times today, especially for his two goals against

    40:45
The puck has dropped for the third and deciding period! Any mistake will prove to be fatal now, with this game on a knife's edge!
