Russia had opportunity to go to 2 on 1 breakaway, Geraskin passed puck to Avramenko, who missed it in really high speed.

Russians are now in offense zone and Popugaev finished by backhand shot, missed the net.

Finnish breakaway and good pass to Oksanen, who didn´t shot from good position, he was in front of empty part of net.

Individual effort by Avramenko, more efficient would be probably to pass puck for team-mate, in this case, Avramenko lost it.

Russian offside, players were too fast in crossing of blue line. So the game is moving to neutral zone. We have almost the half of the game behind us, Finland closer to bronze medals.

Russians try it also by their typical individual attacks, defender Iakovenko skated through whole ice rink, missed the puck in offense zone.

Kuokkanen skated to the offense zone and tried by fast wristshot, missed the left part of net.

Great individual action by Finnish defender Reunanen, he passed through two Russians and set up offense action of his team. In the end of it, Sukhachev saved shot from the blue line.

Game turned to the other side of rink and there was a good Russian shot from the space between circles, Isokangas saw it and hide in equipment.

Also Finns with first offense initiative in the second period, Sukhachev with his first today´s save, he saved the shot from blue line.

"Suomi" is still more active team, now their action looked interesting, it was stopped by offside.

So Russia survived this penalty klling and can tie the game just until the end of first period.

Welcome everyone at bronze medal game between Finland and Russia! Disappointed semifinals are going to play their last game of tournament to get "at least" third place!

Finland played great games in a group, where won all matches with results 5:1 against USA, 4:2 against Slovakia and 3:0 against Russia. Then, "Suomi" didn´t pass through Sweden and lost 1:2. They said that the third place is a big motivation and this match is very important for them.

Russia finished second in a group, so moved to Breclav for semifinals. Russia played good games against Slovakia, won 5:2 and against USA, won 5:2 and lost 0:3against Finland. Semifinal brought probably the best game of tournament against Canada, Russia lost after shootouts 1:2.
