2:3 (0:1, 2:1, 0:0 - 0:1)
Djurgården Stockholm
Thursday 27.08.2015, 17:30 • Hakametsä • Champions League • Group 2

Djurgården's head coach Hans Särkijärvi was pleased after the game.

    - I think that it was a step forward compared to the last game against Tappara. I think that the match in whole was better, last time our first period was best. Now we had three good periods.

Djurgården really gave everything that they had and the game was fast and physical. Särkijärvi saw that the team played at the top end of their abilities.

    - I don’t think that we have strength to play a faster game than today.

Djurgården has two games left in the group stage. Even though Tappara has already guaranteed the top spot in the group, the Swedish team will give the remaining games their absolute best.

    - We have two games left against Zug. I know that Tappara has already won the group and it might have an effect. We will still do our best against Zug in the last two matches. (21:51:06)

Tappara's head coach Jussi Tapola had a clear picture of the game after it had ended.

    - This was a tough, fast and good physical game. I am sure that there are plenty tired players out there.

Tappara will now take a small brake and will start preparing for the upcoming matches next week.

    - Now we put everything in ice for three days and relax mentally. On Monday we will continue practicing, then have a day off during the week and after that we are ready to play during the weekend.

Djurgården managed to win 2-3 after overtime. Tapola was still satisfied about the group win that came with the result.

    - My feelings are two-folded. On the other hand we secured a play-off spot, which was our minimum goal, but we also lost.

Tappara has clear plans for the time which comes after the group stage.

    - After this we go forward on a game-to-game-basis. I don’t know about the future matches or standings but now we have one game left in front of the home crowd. After that we’ll concentrate to Liiga and the CHL-games will come at some point.
