JYP d-man Juuso Pulli is laying on the ice in pain after a collission with his teammate. Seemed to get a hit on his leg, but he manage to stand up on his own after a while.

Frölunda are 28.57% (2/7) on the powerplay so far tonight. A total percent of 38,88% after scoring in 7 of their 18 PP's so far in the tournament.

As Frölunda makes a line shift, Darryl Boyce makes a great offensive ride and skates through the zones to create a breakaway, but he can't beat Johansson on the scoring chance.

JYP has really gotten themselves together in this game. They're really disturbing Frölunda as the game goes on. They create more and more offensively.

JYP creates a long and great attack with a couple of chances, but neither one of them can beat Johansson in the net.

Even in this powerplay, Frölunda gets much tim in offensive zone, but JYP defends the slot well. No goal and JYP are not back on full strength.

Frölunda starts the period good and Nicklas Lasu makes a brilliant opening pass to teammate Mats Rosseli Olsen, but Tarkki saves the shot from the slot with his blocker.

There's a lot of inadvertence from most of the players right now. It seems like it's difficult to play the puck well, but just as I'm writing this Frölunda has had a long attack in offensive zone and just forced the JYP defence to clear to puck to an icing.

I think JYP definitely started the 2nd period best, but Frölunda are getting more and more of the puck possession and pushing harder and harder on JYP goalie Tarkki.
We're far away the speed from the 1st period, though.

JYP killed the penalty and are now back on full strength.

Frölunda have scored on one of the PP's today, so far, and they keep playing very solid. JYP defends the slot really well though, but they're having a hard time clearing the zone.
But why clear the zone when Tarkki deliver save after save?

Great attack by JYP now when Mikko Salmio wrapped around the net, but Johansson saved. Then Valtteri Kemilainen shot wide before Salmio again tipped a shot by Mikko Kalteva, which Johansson solidly could save, though.

The intensity has gained a bit now, and for the first time we're getting to see some hockey without a whistle after 20 seconds.
Just recently Frölunda had a long attack that ended up in a post hit by d-man Jacob Larsson.

JYP creates two new scoring chances, first Valtteri Hotakainen and then Markus Nenone. But Johansson saves both of the shots.

Just 54 seconds into the second period, a JYP player (missed who it was) delivered a hit on a Frölunda player which makes the glass pop out. We will be have to wait for a while, then.

Frölunda killed that penalty solid and are now back on full strength. JYP got one shot on goal on that PP.

JYP have a hard time establishing the powerplay, and Frölunda just cleared the zone again.

JYP manage to ride the storm out and are now back on full strenght. Really solid penalty killing there.

Janne Kolehmainen – WOW! He manages to block three shots in a single shift, all of them hurted. Got a lot of ovations from JYP's players bench.

JYP creates a great turnover when Janne Kolehmainen whipped the puck on the goal and Aleksi Salonen almost put the rebound into the net. Johansson made a great save, though, and later the play got whistled because of a JYP player in the goal crease.

With barely nine minutes played of the first period, we have gotten to see a high-intense game with a lot of speed so far. Frölunda has been the dominant team with a lot of the ice time in offensive zone. When JYP has tried to turn the puck over they haven't gotten far into the offensive zone.

Both Nicklas Lasu, Frölunda, and Juuso Pulli, JYP, goes to the box for 2 minutes for Roughing.

Nicklas Lasu got the chance in the slot and tried the wrister, but Tarkki could save and hold on to the puck. When Lasu made his appearence up front to take a potential rebound, JYP's Juuso Pulli stood up for his goaltender and a little fight occured between the two.

4 minutes into the game Frölunda have an 7-1-advance in shots on goal.

Frölunda continues with their high-speed, passing and offensive game plan. Really great start from the home team. Just recently the line with Robin Figren – Mattias Janmark – Artturi Lehkonen helt the puck offensively, but again; Tarkki has started really good in the net.

JYP turn the puck over and creates a chance where d-man Sami Niku tries the wrister from the blue line through traffic. But Lars Johansson in Frölunda's makes an easy save.

On the ice, Frölunda start the game really good. The line with Spencer Abbott – Johan Sundström – Andreas Johnson had a great attack recently with a few heavy shots. But Tuomas Tarkki in the net for JYP Jyväskylä make some solid saves.

When the game starts here in Frölundaborg (which, by the way, is Frölunda's second arena) the atmosphere is really good. The supporter groups Sektion84 and Goa Gubbar starts the evening splendid in the crowd.

For Frölunda, Oliver Lauridsen will rest due to a minor injury he got in a exhibition game against BIK Karlskoga two days ago.

Instead, team captain Joel Lundqvist is back on the lineup tonight.

In JYP, the only one that played last game against Sheffield Steelers but not will be playing tonight is d-man Valtteri Hietanen.
Instead, Darryl Boyce will be back in the lineup.
