Welcome all hockey fans in the final of group stage in Champions Hockey League! Slovak champion HC Kosice is close to qualify for play-offs, needs “just” to win for 2 points against Austrian KAC Klagenfurt! We can expect great hockey evening in east of Slovakia!

HC Kosice as a club from Slovak Hockeytown enjoys its second edition in CHL. It played first two matches against German Red Bull Munich and lost 2:4 (at home) and 0:1 (away). Kosice were good opponent for strong German team, the main reason was in efficiency. Then, Kosice won important game in Klagenfurt and won tight game 3:2. However, they lost injured goalkeeper Marcel Melichercik, so there´s a chance for young goalie Dominik Riecicky.

KAC Klagenfurt played just two games yet. Games taken place in home arena in Austria, and Klagenfurt lost it both. Austrians tried to surprise Red Bull Munich, however, lost 1:4.Then, it lost also against Kosice 2:3. If Klagenfurt wants to pass for play-offs, it definitely needs to win in Kosice.

Tell also something about situation in a group. Munich has clinched play-offs from first place. At second place, Kosice can clinch play-offs by win in this game for 3 points or 2 points (in overtime or on shootout). Also, Kosice can take just one point from this game, but need to rely, that Klagenfurt will take maximum 2 points from Munich. Kosice can also pass by zero points from Thursday´s game, but it needs to be in results 0-1 or 1-2 and Klagenfurt will take zero from Munich. However, both teams need to win!
