Friday 04.09.2015, 12:00Champions Hockey League gameday liveblog

Thank you for following the games again with us tonight – we'll be back tomorrow afternoon when the first of 11 (count 'em!) get underway! (22:46:03)

    The story of tonight...

Vitkovice Ostrava 3-1 Neman Grodno (Grodno are eliminated)
Grenoble 2-1 Espoo Blues (Grenoble are eliminated)
ZSC Lions 3-2 Eisbaren Berlin (ZSC win group)
    Fribourg-Gotteron 4-3 Lulea Hockey
Djurgarden 5-3 EV Zug (Zug are eliminated)

So it's all eyes now on the Djurgarden – Zug game, which is the last to finish tonight. It it says as it is, with the hosts winning, Zug are eliminated.

    The perfect 12!

ZSC Lions beat Berlin 3-2 to record a perfect return of 12 points from 4 games in their group!

In Fribourg, the home side have bowed out of this season's CHL with a 4-3 win over defending champions Lulea.

Julian Talbot was the Berlin scorer, as ZSC look to hold on for three points which would give them a perfect 12!

Berlin have pulled a goal back late in the day away to ZSC, trailing just 3-2. Remember, a point for the Eisbaren will put them in the next round.

Another goal in Switzerland – Fribourg lead Lulea 4-3

Well, a great effort from Grenoble who win the game 2-1! It's not going to be enough to get them into the next round, but they have secured the first points (and win) for a team from France in the CHL, so congratulations for that!

Grenoble are going for it – they've pulled the goalie out!

If you were the Grenoble coach, what would you do now? Pull the goalie and go for the two goals you need, or leave him in and just try to register your country's first CHL win? Let us know on #chl!

Teams are back on the ice for the final period in Fribourg, where the home team leads Lulea 3-2.

Grenoble on a man advantage here, which could be the chance they need. Can they force another goal?

Grenoble have called a tine-out early doors here in period three, with only five minutes or so played. Clearly the coach isn't happy with what he's seeing.

Two periods now played in Fribourg, with the home side leading lulea 3-2. In Stockholm Djurgarden are ahead AGAIN on Zug, this time 4-3.

Up in Stockholm, Djurgarden are back in the lead – and in Fribourg, Lulea are back on level terms at two each.
    The hosts need two more!

ZSC moved to 3-1 ahead of Berlin now, while Fribourg have turned it around against Lulea to lead the game 2-1!

Daniel SONDELL ties the game for Zug as they again come from behind against Djurgarden – locked at two with five minutes to go in the opening period.

Grenoble need to beat Espoo by three tonight – and they've just got one of them. The "Fire Wolves" lead 2-1!

Zug had equalised in their game away to Djurgarden, but just over a minute later Adam OLLAS-MATTSSON put the hosts back ahead. Three goals in six minutes there!

Djurgarden have the first goal in Stockholm, 1-0 they lead there early in period one.

One period down in Grenoble, and it's still 1-1... the hosts are still alive in the competition, just, but need to win the game by a clear margin remember.

    Game on. #hcfg vs #lulea playing #chl

How amusingly coincidental – the two 19:45 games where the visitors were leading have now been tied by the home sides – Fribourg and Zurich both equalising!

And finally up in Stockholm, Djurgarden vs. Zug is also now live!

Could of early goals in the 19:45 games – Lulea 1-0 ahead in Fribourg, and Berlin have taken the lead against ZSC.

Grenoble are level against Espoo, 1-1 now!
All over in Ostrava, Vitkovice take the win and their place in round two!

Time for the 19:45 games to get going now, it's SC Lions vs. Eisbaren Berlin, and Fribourg-Gotteron hosting lulea.

Fair play to Grodno, they're not going out without a fight and have got themselves a goal in Ostrava. 1-3 they trail though, with about a minute left.

Early PP goal for Espoo in Grenoble, lead 1-0.

Game starting shortly at the Patinoire Pôle Sud, Grenoble entertaining Espoo with the hosts still mathematically having a chance of getting through.

That's a goal though – Szturc puts Ostrava 3-0 up and Gordon's CHL hopes are disappearing at a rapid rate now.

No goal – Grodno continue to trail by two.

Play under review in Ostrava which could put the hosts 3-0 up. The referee is on the phone already.

2-0, and that might now be curtains for Grodno.

Period three stating in Ostrava – Neman Grodno have 20 minutes to keep themselves in the CHL.

Opening goal in Ostrava, and it's Vitkovice ahead!
Frolunda have arrived in the UK for tomorrow's game against Sheffield. Just a bus for them now from Manchester airport!

Getting a bit feisty now in Ostrava, with both sides involved in some pushing and shoving behind the Grodno net. Still 0-0.
ZSC have arrived at the rink in Winterthur for tonight's game against Berlin.

Back out in period two, and still no goals with around five minutes played.

No goals in Ostrava then after 20 minutes.

Still waiting for someone to get on the board in Ostrava, but Grodno have come back into the game more after the early dominance by Vitkovice.

No goals yet, but a promising start from Vitkovice as they're been on the attack most of the opening five minutes.

    Under way in Ostrava!

All set and ready to go, teams are about to hit the ice in Ostrava.
Teams are on the ice warming up now in Ostrava.
