A good shift there from Berlin. Schroder's shot from the point was stopped, but OLIVER NOACK scored on the rebound.

A bad breakout pass in the Salzburg zone and TARO JENTZSCH takes advantage, skating to the front of the net and shooting high to the glove side on Batory. A bit of good fortune in ano otherwise dreadful period for Die Eisbaren.

This is becoming a debacle now. Bappert from the point passed down to JUSTIN SCHUTZ, Steffer stopped his first shot but Schutz got his own rebound and put it in.
This is just bad luck for Berlin, as PHILIP SANDER had the puck below the goal line and his attempt to pass it in front his the goalie Steffer and went into the net! As it came 2 seconds after the end of the Berlin penalty, it is technically the third shorthanded goal for Salzburg this game.
This is the top line of Salzburg and they showed it on that play, gaining control off the faceoff and Savage found CARSON DIMOFF at the side of the net for the easy goal.

Very unfortunate for Berlin -- 2 shorthanded goals for Salzburg on the same penalty! This one by CEDRIC SCHIEMENZ, who got behind the Berlin defence to reach a loose puck, then went in on a breakaway, faked a shot on Steffer to cause the goalie to move and then slid the puck into the open side of the net.
On a shorthanded 2 on 1, McKenna went wide and passed around the stick of the Berlin defenceman onto the stick of CARSON DIMOFF, who one-timed it inside the post. Shorthanded goal.
