    "It was huge win from us today. After first period game seemed pretty high uphill road for us. We changed our game strategy to the second period and that helped us." said Ari Santanen the head coach of team SaiPa.

    Eisbären Berlin's Uwe Krupp head coach was also satisfied to his team. " We played last game on Thursday and we came to game ready to play. We were ready to battling and SaiPa didn’t. We knew that second period would be harder. The second period was still a good period but we didn’t score. I really liked the energy of the team and the way we battled. Overall we played good game." Uwe Krupp summarized.

    Both teams games continues on the next round in Champions Hockey League.

    One of the these teams will be on the first place in Champions Hockey League Group I. Which one? We will see that after the game.
     
    Berlin's 5-2 win in Lulea earlier this week surprised many and sent a small shockwave around the CHL as they eliminated the former CHL Champions at the first hurdle. That performance means the Eisbaren head to Finland assured of their place in the next round, and will top the group with a regulation win. SaiPa, for their part, need just to get the game to overtime to be confirmed as group winners.
