So that's all for tonight – we do it all again in a week! (22:28:48)

Fribourg's late equaliser sees them leave Kosice all square ahead of next week's match. A 7-4 win for Linkoping has Davos starting elimination in the face, while HV71 will travel to Rauma next week 2-0 ahead of Lukko.

In one of only three games left running, Roman CERVENKA has tied the game for Fribourg away in Kosice timed at 53:06. The hosts had been leading since around the 15 minute.

That's the game done with in Lugano too, the hosts beaten Pilsen 4-1 which is a useful lead going into next week's return leg.

A late goal for Salzburg isn't enough to stop them losing to Bern, 4-1 the visitors win.

Over in Wolfsburg, ZSC Lions skate off with a road win by exactly the same score!

ZSC move out to 4-1 ahead of Wolfsburg now, as do Lugano who have scored two quick ones to lead Pilsen by the same score.

Salzburg are huffing and puffing, but just can't find a way past the SC Bern defense.

In Slovakia, Kosice lead Fribourg 1-0 going into the final period there. Could be a big win...

Period three also underway in Wolfsburg, where the hosts trail ZSC 3-1, and Lugano, where the home side are leading Pilsen 2-1. In Berlin, Berlin lead Zug 4-0 in the final period – somewhat surprising given how well the Swiss side did in the group stage!

Salzburg are another side in trouble, 4-0 down at home to Bern.

What on earth is going on in Davos? Linkoping lead 7-3 and the home side will be hard pushed to make the next round, let alone semifinals again, this year.

Just as we write that though, ZSC go up the other end and score to restore their two-goal cushion!

    GOAL!

37:24 played in Wolfsburg, and the Grizzlys are back in this thanks to Brent AUBIN! 1-2 they trail ZSC.

It's turned into a tough night for HC Davos, who are 4-2 down at home to Linkoping with time ticking down on the middle period.

Elsewhere Zurich lead in Wolfsburg 2-0, Lugano lead Pilsen by the same score, and Bern are also up in Salzburg by a pair as well.

Catching up on the games which are now over:

    KalPa 2-0 Djurgarden
    JYP 4-0 Skelleftea

    Games starting to finish now:

    Yunost Minsk 3-2 Frolunda
Red Bull Munich 1-1 Vaxjo Lakers
    TPS 1-1 IFK Helsinki

    Time ticking down

Frolunda have it back to 3-2 in Minsk, with Yunost still ahead. Munich and Vaxjo are locked in a one all tie.

The game in Tappara is over, with SaiPa taking a 2-0 win!

End of the first period in our later starting games:

    Berlin 1-0 Zug
    Wolfsburg 0-2 ZSC Lions
    Salzburg 0-2 Bern

Actually scratch that last update – both sides have added another and leave their respective games 2-0!

    GOAL!

A couple of early ones to tel you about from the late starts – Bern lead in Salzburg, and Linkoping have gone ahead against last year's semifinalists Davos.

That's your lot in Prague, Sparta and Karpat share a goal each to tie 1-1. Winner takes all next week in Oulu.

Skelleftea could be in real trouble when they face JYP on home ice next week. They are currently down 3-0 to their Liiga opponents, with Tuomas PIHLMAN the latest scorer for the home side at 41:23.

    GOAL!

Berlin take the lead over Swiss side Zug – Nicholas ETERSEN gets the goal with 8:26 played.

1:20 played in Wolfsburg, and ZSC are already ahead – Roman Wick finds LUCA CUNTI who can barely miss to put the Lions one up.

Controversy in Prague – Sparta think they've scored, the referees go upstairs, and they've washed it out. Suffice to say it's not a popular decision in the O2 Arena.

    GOAL!

    Two teams back level...

Munich get a deserved goal after sustained pressure – Jerome FLAAKE the scorer with 15s remaining on period two to tie it up. In Prague, JIRI CERNOCH ties the game at 46:33.

PATRIK VIRTA levels the game for TPS at home to HIFK with 38:08 played in Turku.

Meanwhile the game in Vitkovice is over, meaning Nitra need to win by 8 goals in next week's return leg.

    Goal!

Farjestad have one back in Liberec, they trail by 3-1 now.

The same scoreline is also now up in Minsk – with Yunost leading Frolunda, the defending CHL Champions no less, by two!

If Nitra manage to turn this around in the next game it'll be a miracle – they trail Vitkovice 7-0 and the game isn't over yet either.

    Goal!

What a big one in Minsk – Yunost take the lead over Frolunda, PAVEL ROZVADOVSKI the scorer at 23:15.

Liberec have doubled their advantage over Farjestad to lead 2-0 early in the middle period, PETR JELINEK on the backhand at 22:44.

And if you're a Nitra fan look away now... Vitkovice hit six!

    Goal!

Period two now under way in most of the 18:00 starts, and SaiPa have TOMI LEIVO to thanks for putting them ahead of Tappara with just over 23 minutes played.

It just gets better for Vitkovice though, they're now five ahead of Nitra through KAROL SLOBODA.

    Scratc
    GOAL!

20 seconds into the final period in Ostrava, and ONDREJ ROMAN scores to make 4-0.

Meanwhile the deadlock has been broken in Prague wit 21:39 on the board – MISKA HUMALOJA gets the go-ahead goal for Karpat.

    As things stand...

    After 2 periods
    Vitkovice 3-0 Nitra

    In period 2:
    Sparta 0-1 Karpat

    After 1 period
    Munich 0-1/ Vaxjo
    Liberec 1-0 Farjestad
    KalPa 1-0 Djurgarden
    TPS 0-1 HIFK
    Minsk 1-1 Frolunda
    Tappara 0-0 SaiPa
    JYP 2-0 Skelleftea

    GOAL!

Adam Brodecki gets the goal for Vaxjo to put them ahead n Munich after the referees check the video – just over two minutes left to play in the first there.

Vaxjo now think they've taken the lead in Munich, but again the referees choose to review just in case...

So Nitra have it all to do against Vitkovice, currently 3-0 down after two periods in Ostrava... but they'll be thinking that they have another four to turn it around.

After 20 minutes in Prague, neither Sparta nor Karpat could manage a goal. The teams are back out for the middle session there.

Tappara and SaiPa finish their opening period scoreless, and as we type JYP have doubled their lead to 2-0 over Skelleftea.

No goal for Munich after the play is reviewed.

As we see some of the goals coming in here, it's worth saying there are some great new being scored tonight!

    GOAL!

We have a tying goal in Minsk, as Yunost draw level against the defending champions through Viktor Turkin with just over 12 minutes played.

Munich think they've taken the lead against Vaxjo, but it's going upstairs...

    GOAL!

Nitra really have a mountain to climb now – they've just gone three down in Vitkovice in the middle period.

Red Bull Munich's Mads Christensen has been ejected from the game for a bad hit in the corner. VAX on a major PP at the moment...

    GOAL!

They're flying in now... KalPa have gone ahead at home to Djurgarden (ALEXANDER RUUTTU, 7:11), while HIFK lead in Turku against TPS.

Also now Liberec have taken the lead, 1-0 up on Farjestad.

    GOAL!

Vitkovice now 2-0 up on Nitra! MICHAEL VANDAS goes top shelf at 31:14 to double his side's lead.

In Minsk, Frolunda have taken an early lead over Yunost thanks to KRISTIAN VESALAINEN at 5:36.

    GOAL!

Goal two of the day has come in Finland, where JYP take the lead over Skelleftea early on trough JANI TUPPURAINEN with 4:25 played.

Still just the one goal so far tonight... where will the next one come from? Let us know on #CHL :)

    Starting now it's:

    Munich vs. Vaxjo
    Liberec vs. Farjestad
    KalPa vs. Djurgarden
    TPS vs. HIFK
    Minsk vs. Frolunda
    Tappara vs. SaiPa
    JYP vs. Skelleftea

Take a deep breath by the way, because in four minutes a total of 7 (yes, SEVEN) games get going!

Period two now under way in Ostrava, while in Prague Sparta and Karpat are still goalless.

Good pressure from Karpat in the opening stages at the O2 in Prague... Sparta struggling to get the puck out of their own zone.

Sparta va. Karpat is a go, while in Ostrava period one ends with the hosts 1-0 ahead.

Just under seven minutes to go in Ostrava, Vitkovice still one up.

In five minutes we start with the game in Prague, with Sparta hosting Karpat.

    GOAL!

Oh dear Nitra – not the start they'd have wanted in Ostrava going a goal down, but they've let one in shorthanded to make it worse. 1-0 Vitkovice!

Puck has been dropped and we're under way in Ostrava.

There is a HUGE travelling contingent from Nitra, good effort!

    Ten minute warning!

Ever closer to game time now – the first of today's 16 is Vitkovice vs. Nitra. Rumours were going round earlier that almost 800 fans are travelling from Slovakia to this game!

We have 16 games for you tonight, all started within around three hours of each other.
