    Goal for Frölunda!
NICKLAS LASU puts it in and Frölunda have won the Champions Hockey League for the 2nd consecutive season!

    Congratulations, Frölunda Hockey Club!

    60:01
    Overtime began.

The players are entering the ice in this moment and the crowd goes crazy. We can't wait for this upcoming overtime!

This game is definitely a huge rollercoaster that could fit on Liseberg, with the teams giving and taking the command of the game. Here in the 3rd period, Sparta was definitely in command and had the shot advantage of 16-3!

We will await the overtime – which will be played at 20 minutes at maximum, 3 vs 3. If there are no goals after 20 minutes, a shootout will occur to determing which team will win the CHL Trophy.

    60:00
    3rd period finished.

    58:00
Two minutes remaining of the 3rd period.

    57:29
Sparta is still the better team in this period and if it wouldn't have been for Johan Gustafsson's tremendously solid efforts – and with help from his defencemen – Sparta could definitely has taken the lead here. Sparta's up 16-3 on the shots here in the 3rd period.
It's a thriller right into the end!

    55:50
It's definitely a coast-to-coast-game here with both teams solid defences overwhelming their offensive strenghtens.

And as Lukas Pech got credited for the secondary assist on the 3-3-goal, he's just one point behind Casey Wellman and Joel Lundqvist in the point scoring standings.

    48:30
Sparta leads the shots on goal 10-2 with 8 minutes played of the 3rd period. It's a game that turns around a lot and it will definitely be interesting to see which team that can take command of the last and determing parts of the game.

    46:15
    Goal for Sparta!
Sparta has played well for a time and gets to score the tying goal well-deserved. LUKAS KLIMEK tips the puck in and we have a 3-3 on the board. Assisted by: Jan Svrcek and Lukas Pech.

    45:50
Sparta's first goal scorer in the game, Lukas Cingel, gets a great chance from the low slot and tries the wrist shot, but Gustafsson has a clear sight and can save the shot rather easy.

    45:33
Sparta is showing a quite good power play here, but can't capitalize and Frölunda are back on full strength.

    43:33
Frölunda's Joel Lundqvist goes to the penalty box for 2 minutes slashing and Sparta will get their second power play of the game.

    40:45
Wow, laying on the ice, Johan Gustafsson manage to keep the puck out of the net as Sparta's Juarj Mikus gets the shot.

    40:01
    Start of 3rd period.

We have an interesting race for the scoring leader of the tournament right now. As Casey Wellman has scored two goals and Lundqvist one tonight, they're actually both on top of the scoring standings with 14 points each (Casey 8+6, Joel with 4+10). The closest players behind them have 12 points, among them Spara Pragues Lukas Pech.

Sparta started the period best, much maybe thanks to that they began it on the power play. They had the most of puck possession during the first 5 minutes, but Frölunda created themselves a way back into the game and turned it around completely.

Thanks to that, Casey Wellman scored his 2nd of the night to make it 3-2, and that's the result we have when 40 minutes are played – even though Frölunda had a lot of chances and shots towards Tomás Pöpperli in Sparta's net.

    SOG: 31-20 (15-16, 16-4)
