		The final buzzer has sounded, and Canada have comfortably seen off the challenge of Italy 6-1! The score may be large but don't be fooled, the Canadians were given a real test today. Joel Ward, Jason Chimera, Kyle Turris, Brayden Schenn and Cody Hodgson with a double all managed to get on the scoreboard, with David Borrelli grabbing the Italian consolation effort. 	37:38	Kostner! Oh my goodness, I think Italy could be here all night and they still won't score! A flowing move sees the puck being chucked across the face of goal but Daniel Kostner with an empty net to aim at makes a right hash of it! James Reimer can't believe his luck!
	36:58	The Italians still aren't giving in and James Reimer makes the save of the game off a fantastic one on one chance for Italy! The score really doesn't reflect how this game has gone at all!
	36:15	Goal for Team Canada! Every time they manage to stay in the Italian zone for a prolonged period of time they cause havoc! The puck comes off the netminder's pads right onto the stick of CODY HODGSON who delightfully flicks into the net on the right hand post, it's 5-0! Assists- Brayden Schenn and Nathan Mackinnon

	24:58	Borrelli! You can't say that Italy aren't creating chances today! David Borrelli steals the puck against the boards, with real purpose cuts round to the crease but as he seems to have beaten Reimer he misses the target! It looked harder to miss than score!

	21:39	Goal for Team Canada! The Canadians tease the Italians with excellent puck possession, and as it pops out to the left of the crease following a powerful attempt from distance CODY HODGSON clinically finishes into the near post! Powerplay goal and it's 2-0!
	21:22	Tyler Myers smashes the puck in on net from the point but Daniel Bellisimo comfortably pads it wide despite heavy traffic on front of him

	12:23	What a save from Bellisimo! The Italian defence completely forgets about Kyle Turris charging in on the slot from the left, he looks sure to score but the flying Daniel Bellisimo somehow gets something on it!
	11:39	Just as Italy get back to full strength Troy Brouwer stabs into Daniel Bellisimo's glove arriving in on the doorstep
	10:12	Rocco! The Canadians poorly cough up the puck center ice, it's a two on one for the Italians but as it pops out off James Reimer Vincent Rocco diving in scuffs it wide! You can't get much close than that!
	09:39	Canada are starting to pin the Italians in their own zone and they've earned a powerplay, for tripping Armin Hofer has been penalised
	07:38	Huberdeau! Finally the Canadians get something going as Jonathan Huberdeau cuts in from the right flank, wrists into the near post but Daniel Bellisimo fends it off with his shoulder!
	05:13	Insam! Canada just cannot take control of the puck at all, what a start from the Italians! Marco Insam found open at the right of the slot pokes only into the netminder! That was a clear chance!

		The Canadians got their tournament started with a simply shocking 3-2 defeat to minnows to France, but they have since recuperated with beating Slovakia 4-1, the Czech Republic 4-3 and Denmark 6-1. Italy have so far only been on the victorious side once, downing France 2-1, and they have lost to Norway 3-0, Denmark 4-1 and Italy 2-0.

		Canada are the reigning Olympic champions having romped to victory in Sochi back in February, but they never seem to perform that well at the World Championships. Italy on the other hand certainly isn't a typical hockey nation, but they do have the ability to surprise.
