Canada are currently 2nd in group A with 15 points in 6 games and with a win in regulation can make it past Sweden – as they have beaten the Scandinavians earlier in this tournament – to win the group.
Norway who are currently 6th with 7 points in 6 games are left without chances to qualify for the quarterfinals as they lost the direct games against France and the Czech Republic who both have 10 points and play against each other this afternoon.
If Canada can geain the expected win in regulation for the group win or if Norway leave the tournament with a big surprise, we'll see soon!

Can you believe it? The Norwegians immidiately use their power play to take the surprising 1-0 lead in this game! The Scandinavians won the face off but Mathis Olimb failed to controll the puck. Still it came to ANDERS BASTIANSEN who forces his way past the last two defensemen to beat Reimer with a nice individual effort from just in front of the goalie crease!
Without assist.
Shots on goal: Norway 5 – Canada 15
The Canadians get the equalizer in power play after having wasted several good opportunities in previous occasions. Sean Monahan wins the face off at the left circle and gives the puck back to Ryan Ellis whose one-timer is deflected by JOEL WARD through the pads of Söberg who looked a bit unlucky in this situation! 1-1!
Assisted by Sean Monahan and Ryan Ellis.
After intensifying their offensive efforts in recent minutes, Norway get the lead back!!! MADS HANSEN receives a pass by Mathis Olimb at the Canadian blue line and is through with a break away which he finnishes with a hard shot into the right top corner past the chanceless James Reimer! 2-1 Norway!
Assisted by Mathis Olimb.
Söberg allows a rebound after a hard blue line shit by Kevin Bieksa and Winnipeg Jets' youngster MARK SCHEIFELE reacts immidiately to push the puck over the goal line for the 2-2 equalizer!
Assisted by Kevin Bieksa and Joel Ward.
Shots on goal: Norway 6 (11) – Canada 13 (28)
After a pass from behind the net by Jonathan Huberdeau it is JOEL WARD who shows great puck handling and scores into the left top corner from just next to the goalie crease! Just before the end of the power play!
Assisted by Jonathan Huberdeau.
For Norway the tournament is now over while Canada managed to leave Sweden behind themselves due to the win in the game between the two sides to win group A and to advance easily to the quarterfinals.
