    The last time these two teams met was in 2011 in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The Slovaks won the game 4-1 despite a 39-save performance by current backup Patrick Galbraith on a game-winning goal by Miroslav Šatan midway through the first period.
     
    The Slovaks will go home as well as they only managed to beat Norway and Italy and got one point from the game with the Czechs. The Denmark game is going to be big for them in terms of securing a better position for next year's placement into groups in the preliminary round.
     
    The Danes were looking to hit a jackpot and advance to quarterfinals after beating the Czechs in shootout and the way led through France and Slovakia, but Team France managed to come out victorious from today's game following an amazing four-goal third period and that's why the Danes are going to be going home after this one.
     
    None of these teams has a chance to advance anymore, but it could still turn out to be a fun game with the Slovaks definitely looking to avoid ending up seventh in the group.
