Kärpät Oulu beats Vienna Capitals well deserved 2:0.
As a better team they scored twice, managing to preserve the lead till the end.
Vienna Capitals came up a bit in the second 30 minutes playing a bit more physically but still not with a real chance to turn the game.
In the second period we saw a slighty better set up Vienna Capitals team, more physical, creating some chances without delivering a score.
Kärpät Oulu still controlling the lead, with a clever play in the middle third, quickly shutting down the Vienna Capitals playmakers.
SOG so far: VIC 9 (2,7), KAR 19 (10,9)
Still powerplay for Kärpät Oulu.
After the first period we see a clearly dominant Finnish team, with more physical impact and better passplay, creating more chances and scoring a comftable and deserved two-goal-lead.
Vienna Capitals with obviously heavy legs from practice sessions, but at the end Kärpät Oulu has more quality so far.
Lakos and Huml close to a fight.
Next goal for Kärpät Oulu. Saku MÄENALANEN tips in a deflected shot from Miko Aaltonen. 2nd assist by Sebastian Aho.
Nice direct shot from JANI HAKANPAA, the assist goes to Mika Niemi. No chance for Lawson to hold that one.

The finnish champion already had a game on thursday, winning 2:0 at the Penguins of Krefeld/Germany.
The Capitals played two testgames last week in Slovenia winning both against Stavanger Oilers (5-1) and Olimpija Ljubljana (3-1).
The roster of the Capitals has changed a lot compared to last season, 7 new foreign players joined the team, mostly guys playing in the german league with experience from AHL.
The game starts at 19:30, my name is Jörg Trondl, enjoy my live ticker coverage.
