    With his goal just after the start of the second half Diego Costa scored his second of the evening and decided the match for Atlético Madrid. The home side never found back into the match afterwards and Atlético controlled everything.

    Atlético cut the deficit towards Real Madrid to just one point again and they now have 13 points more than the fourth, Real Sociedad, who are on the Champions League qualification spot.
