		Classic defence that period by Sweden, as the Czech Republic did not get any real scoring chances. Even on their two power plays, they effectively kept the puck to the outside and forced shots from a distance, which were often blocked. The 2012-13 Euro Hockey Tour has not been a success for Sweden so far, but this win puts them in first place in this part of it--the Czech Hockey Games. Later today, Finland takes on Russia, while all four teams finish up tomorrow in what will be the last tune-up games for all teams prior to the arrival of NHL reinforcements in time for the start of the World Championships. 		Teams are now returning to the ice and the 3rd period faceoff is moments away.
		From a technical standpoint, that period was played much better by both teams. The Swedes seemed to continue their edge in play early on but the Czechs started to push back later on. No goals were scored in the 2nd period, as Sweden continues to lead 1-0 through 40 minutes. 3rd period begins at 15:34 CEST.

	26:01	I stand corrected, Jan Kovar is getting a minor penalty and 10-minute misconduct for checking to the head, so Sweden is going to the power play. Koukal will serve the minor and Kovar will have a seat in the box for 12 minutes.

		A wide-open period full of odd-man rushes and a breakaway for each team. The Swedes got more chances, though, and they got the only goal late in the period. They lead 1-0 after 20 minutes. The 2nd period will begin at approximately 14:50 CEST.

Finland sits in 3rd place with 12 points, while Sweden is 4th with 9. Russia and Finland meet later on Saturday while Finland plays Sweden on Sunday.
