    Austria didn't surprise at start. It lost against USA 3:5 and France 1:3. But after this bad start Austrians came back and defeated Latvia 6:3. Next match they lost to Germany 0:2, but after defeating strong Slovakia 2:1 after shootout, they complicated whole group B and showed the world they can play world class hockey.
     
    Finland started the tournament against Germany, which they defeated 4:3 after overtime. After that they won against dangerous Slovakia 2:0 and France 3:1. After lose with USA 1:4, Suomi bounced back and defeated favorites from Russia 3:2. Hosts are currently on first place in group B.
