With their first scoring attempt of this overtime the guests win the match 4-3 and gain the extra point – keeps the damage in reasonable limits after they threw away twice a two-goal lead in regulation! Assisted by Egeny Dadonov.

With the momentum – and one man more during the power play – on their side, the hosts are able to tie the game!!! Another one-timer by ALEXEI VASILYEV finds its way into the net – better said into the right top corner – past Leighton who couldn't react fast enoguh and raise his glove hand!
Assisted by Ilya Gorokhov and Anton But.
With a one-timer from the blue line just after his team won the face off ALEXEI VASILYEV brings home side Lokomotiv Yaroslav back into the match in power play and cuts the deficit to just one goal – 2-3 now!
Assisted by Ilya Gorokhov.
Is this the decision in favour of the guests? Sanford allows a rebound after a harmless looking blue line shot and EVGENY DADONOV who waited right to the next reacts first and fires the puck over the goal line for the 3-1 Donbass lead!
Assisted by Jan Kolar.
Shots on goal: Lokomotiv 6 (9) – Donbass 7 (18)
The game is gaining heat! Lokomotiv cut the guest lead to the half just one and a half minutes later! After a shot by Emil Galimov was blocked by Donbass goalie Leighton, the rebound came to DANIIL APALKOV who fired the puck past the crowd into the net – 1-2!
Assisted by Emil Galimov.
After a pass from behind the net OLEG PIGANOVICH doubles the Donbass lead from short distance!
Assisted by Randy Robitaille and Oskars Bartulis.
Just when Lokomotiv were finding completely into the game the guests get the overdue lead! With a lot of patience they passed the puck inside the Loko third before a one-timer from the blue line by Oleg Piganovich was deflected into the net by OSKARS BARTULIS past the surprised Loko goalie Sanford!

For Donbass their four-game home stint started more successful against Slovan Bratislava (4-2), Lev Prague (3-2 OT) before they lost against CSKA Moscow (1-4) and Dinamo Riga (2-4).
Today Lokomotiv want to use their first home match of the young season to get further out of the negative streak and are in the role as the favourites. If they can win or if Donbass surprises them, we'll see soon!
