Final word: it was dull game really game, decided in opening period with four Slovan goals. Khabarovsk players never took control of play and were shocked with agressive Bratislava style righ from the start. They sure wanted to do more in middle period, but were denied in every possible way. They were bad on powerplay situations and very poor in defending their netminder Pyotr Yeryomin. Well deserved win for Slovan!

Todays game between Amur Khabarovsk and Slovan Bratislava offers both teams to release some pressure. Both teams are dissapointing so far in KHL season, although one has to be fair and tell that none of both teams weren't considered favorites for any big achievements in this season. However, Amur's dissapointing loss vs. CSKA on Sunday didn't bring peace to Khabarovsk dressing room. Team is currently 13th in Eastern Conference standings with only one team looking at their back (Metallurg Nk). That puts them on 25th place in overall standings and they certainly had higher hopes for season start. Slovan is on bottom of Western Conference standings. Both teams have won 7 points so far in season and both won in only one straight game so far. Their goal difference is exactly the same (17:31) and there are no players with average point per game in teams. What to expect from today's game? Sure there will be fighting spirit as both teams desperately need new points. There's no distinct favorite for this game and we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
