game wasn't all that bad. Metallurg surprised with some nice attacking hockey during opening period and deserved one goal lead. Army Team added to their play enormous desire in second period and outshot home team (20-9). Therefore, their one goal lead after second period was also deserved. Quick goal for home team at the beginning of third period probably broke some plans for CSKA's play and both teams were quite equal in terms of possesion in that period. Unnecessary mistake by Kurtis McLean near the end of third period forced home team to defend with three players only in overtime and that proved to be crucial. Maxim Goncharov used his ability to score important goals and finished the game with clever shot from right side.

Raymond Giroux fires from blue line. Scorer is MARTYNOV after he deflects puck in front of Proskuryakov. Both players get points.
CSKA goalies peform on similar level. Rastislav Stana defended his net on 10 occasions (Sv% 90.4), Ilya Proskuryakov stood inbetween the pipes 3 times (Sv% 90.2). Not bad particularly, but not impressive neither. Alexander Radulov 10 (2+8) is of course first star of Moscow team. His numbers are impressive, his impact on game also. Lack of his help might be crucial for CSKA side, but they have enough talent inside the team to win the game without him.
