    I doubt many expected an offensive outburst like that against a team that is usually very stingy defensively, but a lot of Lev's offence tonight was generated from the team's solid corps of defencemen. Two Canadian d-men, Marc-Andre Gragnani and Spencer Humphries, even scored their 1st KHL goals to help chase the league's all-time wins leader, Michael Garnett, from the game. The win also made Kari Jalonen's coaching debut a success. (22:56:47)

    Lukas Cingel seems to have become a permanent fixture on the Lev top line now. This was Niko Kapanen's first game back after missing 5 games with a lower-body injury, and the coaching staff seems to have decided that, with this game in hand, the Finnish Flash shouldn't overdo it.
