In the capitol Riga the home team Dinamo Riga is going to host Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Two of the currently playoff-ranked teams in the league. After fifteen matches played Dinamo is on the fifth place on the Western Conference with their 27 points, while Metallurg also has 27 points and is third on Eastern Conference after fourteen games.     Although, home team absolutely dominated the second period, Metallurg scored another goal. Dinamo made shots one after the other, but most of them was not dangerous at all. Thus, in the end of the third guests had a powerplay and put Riga under massive pressure and doubled their lead. Dinamo must show some special to equalize.

    VITALIJS PAVLOVS got a pass and fired from not too long distance Koshechkin deflected it behind the net, but Pavlovs collected his own rebound and returned in front of the net next to the right post and won the match for Dinamo Riga, 3-2!

    And with this goal in the overtime Dinamo Riga wins the game! Metallurg's two goals lead lasted until the front part of the third period, when home team started to put their opponents under pressure and Metallurg Magnitogorsk could not sustain it and it caused an OT win for the Latvians. Reviewing to the whole game we can say that this triumph for Riga is deserved, because they had much more scoring chances. With this two points Dinamo jumped up to the fouth place on Western Conference and has 29 points, while Magnitogorsk with this one point remained in the third place on Eastern Conference and have 28 points.
