    The Czech Republic win the Channel One Cup with a 2-1 victory over the hosts Russia! All the main action came in the third period. After Alexander Radulov had opened the scoring with a penalty shot, the Czechs woke up, and scored two quick unanswered goals that Russia just couldn't recover from.     In the overall Euro Hockey Tour table the Russians are in second place currently with 12 points, whereas the Czech Republic are in 4th and last place with just 8 points. In the two previous encounters between the sides this season so far they have both shared victories, a 2-1 win for the Czechs and then a 2-0 victory for Russia.

The Russians beat Sweden on Thursday but subsequently went down to Finland yesterday, but the Czechs have won both their games, at home against Finland and beating the Swedes on penalty shots yesterday.
