Germany reached its minimum goal by taking the 3rd spot in group B of the women's hockey tournament group stage in the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi by beating Japan 4-0. The lead might be one or two goals too high in the end as Japan worked hard for a goal themselves but it is more than deserved.

A brilliant German goalie Viona Harrer earned a shutout with 30 saves!

    Shots on goal: Japan 11 (30) – Germany 11 (25)
